A bucket seat is often used in racing or rallying, both at a professional level and as a hobby. In addition, bucket seats are also often found in everyday street cars or at home in the simulator environment. In general, a car bucket seat is used to ensure that the driver remains properly and securely seated behind the wheel at all times, regardless of the conditions or conditions of the course. As a result, these racing chairs often have raised edges next to the seat. Due to this construction, the rider is, as it were, 'locked' in the seat, and will therefore no longer be able to slide from left to right. In addition, the bucket seat for the car is also equipped with wide shoulder surfaces that ensure that the upper body stays in place when making sharp turns. If you combine these two things with a good 4-point belt (or 6-point belt) you actually cannot move in any direction in the seat.

FIA Bucket Seat
When you participate in official races or motorsport events, it is often prescribed that you must use the so-called FIA-approved bucket seat. This is a sports seat that has an FIA homologation. The FIA is the global umbrella body that controls and monitors motorsport. Every bucket seat for the car that has an FIA inspection has passed certain tests, and therefore guarantees a racing seat of the highest quality in terms of strength. After all, you want to be sure that the chair remains intact when you have an accident. We supply FIA-approved bucket seats, so you are assured of a 100% reliable and safe racing seat.
We supply these FIA seats in different types of fabric. The regular fabric is a velvet soft fabric. You can best compare this with a billiard table. The types provided with this substance have the low numbering in terms of article number. This concerns the RX-10 and RX-40 models.
We also supply the same chairs with a more durable and breathable fabric. This so-called “mesh” fabric has an open structure which ensures that the chair dries quickly. In addition, this mesh fabric is more durable than the velor version. This more expensive variant is indicated by the higher numbers, RX-100 and RX-400.
In addition to the fabric chairs, we also supply a vinyl chair, the so-called RXS models. These have a waterproof vinyl covering, which is often used in open cars, buggies, speed boats and cross cars. You can easily clean these chairs.

In addition to the FIA-approved bucket seats, we also supply a range of non-approved bucket seats. These are often used where no FIA requirements are imposed. Consider, for example, hobby moderate use, street cars, trackday cars and simulator chairs. These chairs are still of perfect quality. The only thing they have not undergone is the FIA inspection. Most chairs from this range are supplied with mounting frames, so-called side attachments.
Within this range you will find bucket chairs with a polyester shell. There are also tubular frame chairs. This is a tubular frame with fabric stretched over it, as it were. In addition to these fixed models, adjustable bucket seats are also available. This can be useful when there are several drivers in one car.

Bucket seat attachment
A bucket seat with side mounting is mounted using the so-called side brackets. These can be attached to the chair with M8 bolts. The advantage of these side brackets is that you can easily adjust your sitting position. The more luxurious chair supports often have multiple holes so you can position the chair to your desired seating position. The center distance of the seats is virtually the same for every brand. These frames are therefore not brand specific.
In addition to the position of the chair, there is also the option to make the chair sliding. This happens with the universal chair sled. The seat sled must be mounted in the car. You can mount the side brackets on this chair sled, which must then be mounted back on the chair. This way you can slide the sports seat both forwards and backwards.
